Optimal Design of Asymmetry Passive Power Filters Based on Adaptive Cultural Algorithm with Hybrid Mutation

چکیده

Optimal design of asymmetry passive power filters(PPFs) shall meet the need of harmonics suppression effect. However, harmonics distortion of current in each phase for asymmetry PPFs is different. This makes the dimension of variable space large as capacitors of PPFs in each phase are chosen as variables. Traditional experience-based method has difficulty achieving the optimal solution. In order to obtain the optimal solution effectively, a novel adaptive cultural algorithm with hybrid mutation is introduced. Two kinds of mutation strategies including Cauchy mutation and chaotic mutation are adopted. The scale of each mutation strategy is adaptively adjusted according to current implicit knowledge describing the dominant space. Taken three-phase uncontrolled rectifier as harmonic source, simulation results show that PPFs designed by the proposed algorithm have better harmonics suppression effect than filters designed by experience-based method.
